CuePrompter.com is a free online teleprompter.  It works on any computer and your browser acts as the teleprompter.  You can write or cut and paste your script, press a button and the prompter starts.  It has adjustable speed and scrolling and two text sizes and colors.

There is some preparation involved.  If you wanted to use it for an audition at our office you would need to most definitely practice beforehand to get your script loaded, speed set and ready to go.

With your laptop and our Wi-Fi, this could be a viable alternative for those auditions where we are given short notice.

Moviemaking, Commercials and Video game production in Texas has spiked ever since Texas Film Production Incentives were enacted: $427 million worth of production and more than 37,000 cast & crew jobs in the past 10 months! The entire Texas economy benefits -- it’s called the “multiplier effect.”

This economic boom could evaporate just as suddenly as it arrived. Due to projected shortfalls in state revenues, the incentives program may soon be eliminated.

The Texas Motion Picture Alliance (www.txmpa.org) is fighting to save Film Production Incentive in Texas. We need money to help us measure these economic benefits and get the word out to legislators. Please help us rescue this win-win initiative! Let’s keep these jobs here!
